Jesus: I Speak to You Again

Chapter 51

Spiritual Teachers

You may have a spiritual teacher who can guide you on the path to discovering the Father within yourself, but remember, this teacher is not a mediator between you and the Father. I am acting as your spiritual teacher now, and you will encounter many of my good brethren who will serve as spiritual teachers for you as well. We are all spiritual teachers to one another, and at the same time, we are spiritual students. By teaching others, we also learn, gaining new experiences along the way.

I am sharing these teachings with you now, and they do not require any financial investment. These teachings are meant to expand your thinking and help you grow in character. When you begin to feel the presence and influence of the Father within you, you will naturally want to share your experience with others, becoming a spiritual teacher yourself. Through your experiences, others will learn to seek and feel the Father in their own lives. In turn, they will become teachers to those who have yet to experience what you have. This way, generation after generation, spiritual teachings will continue to spread, and the number of spiritual teachers will constantly grow.

Parents will teach their children, older siblings will guide their younger brothers and sisters, teachers will inspire students, and leaders at workplaces will set examples. Through this ongoing process, the living Father will enter more and more hearts, recognized by all as the real Father.

You have already taken the first steps on this path the moment you began to contemplate the existence of a higher power—a greater mind, an energy that arranges the stars and brings forth the beauty of the universe. You stand in awe of the vastness of space, filled with celestial bodies, of which Earth is but a tiny, almost imperceptible part. Yet, while you have achieved many advances, building machines to explore the skies and improving your ability to communicate, you still fail to ask the deeper question: Why? Why do these things happen? Why are you able to achieve what you do?

You think these advances are natural and self-contained, believing that your civilization progresses on its own and that it is solely your ingenuity that has brought about these improvements in transportation and communication.

But this is not the full story. There is also an unseen influence at work on your minds—a greater, invisible Mind affecting your development. Because you know nothing of the Cosmic Mind's influence on your mind, you believe that the power of your brain alone is responsible for your civilization's progress.

How naive! You do not fully comprehend this, nor can you answer the most fundamental question: Who are you? What is this life of yours, and why do you live it?

Until you can answer these questions, you will not achieve wisdom. Without wisdom, you will not be able to make wise decisions or live a wise life.
