Jesus: I Speak to You Again
Chapter 7
The Importance of Live Contact with People
Inquisitiveness is a wonderful trait—it drives us to ask questions and seek answers. But when those questions probe deeper than a person’s current understanding, fear and irritation often rise up. People quickly put up defenses, creating barriers to any genuine attempt to expand their understanding. Instead of embracing the unknown, they retreat into the familiar, blocking themselves from the answers they could receive.
This was exactly the atmosphere that surrounded me two thousand years ago when I walked among you. As I traveled across the lands around the Mediterranean, I spent time with many people—learning from them, observing their lives, and expanding my understanding of how different individuals and cultures thought and lived. These encounters with people of all races and characters provided me with far more insight than I could ever gain from the scriptures of that time.
There is nothing that can compare to the experience of live, personal contact with others. Theories, no matter how well-crafted, are just ideas—speculations drawn from limited experiences in an attempt to create general rules. But when you engage with someone directly, you feel their living vibrations. The energy that person emits flows between you and them, and into the world around you. These vibrations cannot be captured by any theory, because they are alive, constantly shifting and changing.
Each person’s vibrations are unique. They are alive, just like the person who generates them. And even within the same individual, those vibrations can change from moment to moment—altered by their emotions, thoughts, and experiences. What you feel in one instant may be different in the next, even from the same person. Theories and teachings can’t measure or predict these living, dynamic forces. They are beyond the reach of any fixed conclusion.
This is why direct, live contact with people is so important. It allows you to experience the truth of their being in a way that no scripture or theory ever could. The energy shared between two people in conversation or in a moment of connection contains wisdom and insight that goes beyond words. It opens the heart and mind to deeper truths, allowing growth and understanding to take root in ways that are far more profound than what you can find in books or intellectual exercises.
