Jesus: I Speak to You Again

Chapter 8

The Problem of Psychology and Psychiatry

Today, your sciences of psychology and psychiatry focus only on the mind and behavior, completely ignoring the living, real Source that lies within each person. This Source is the First Source and Great Center—God—who holds all of creation within His loving embrace. Without acknowledging this Source, it is impossible to create a truly accurate theory of the human mind and soul. Yet, modern psychology and psychiatry have denied this Source, the very Origin of humanity and the Source of all wisdom.

When I walked among you as Jesus of Nazareth two thousand years ago, I spoke of this Source as the loving Father of all—of each one of you. But today, psychology and psychiatry have found themselves in a dead end. They are trying to solve the deep, spiritual problems that plague humanity, but their attempts are limited. They fail because they do not recognize that many of these problems stem from a disruption of the spiritual-energetic vibrations within a person—vibrations that originate from the love of the First Source and Center.

As long as psychologists and psychiatrists continue to ignore this Source of life, they will struggle to truly help people who are suffering. The suffering will only deepen, and the methods used to heal will fall short. These disciplines can never fully understand or treat the human mind and soul unless the professionals within them experience the presence of the First Source and Center within themselves. They must realize that all diseases, whether of the mind or body, begin with a disruption in the flow of love—this constant, ceaseless flow of love vibrations that God pours out upon all creation.

The true path to healing lies in helping those who are suffering reconnect with these love vibrations. Only by opening up to the love that constantly flows from the First Source and Center can they find relief from the pain and confusion that overwhelm them. Their diseases, whether mental or physical, are often nothing more than a sign that they are lacking this essential love in their lives.

It is through love—this divine, universal love—that healing can occur. And until psychology and psychiatry understand and embrace this truth, they will continue to fall short of truly helping those in need. The cure for much of humanity’s suffering lies in opening hearts to the love that is always there, waiting to fill the voids within us all.
