Jesus: I Speak to You Again
Chapter 107
Your Faith and Birth of the Spirit
Human beings are far more than animals; you are sons and daughters of the Father. You possess a unique potential for survival that no other living being on this planet has. Only you can be awakened from the sleep of death and experience resurrection. This is made possible by the gift of personality bestowed upon you by the Father. It is this gift that sets you apart from all other creatures and elevates you beyond what any other animal can reach. You are also endowed with a developed brain and a spirit, the Thought Adjuster, given by the Father himself. These two gifts, along with free will, ensure that you have equal opportunities for resurrection.
This resurrection does not depend on material status, achievements, or even good or bad deeds. It is based on one thing—faith. Faith determines the time of your resurrection, and as your faith grows, your life changes. You begin to notice that your attitude toward others softens, and you judge less and forgive more.
Faith is a living relationship with the Father, a connection that transforms your life into one dedicated to making the world better for others. It doesn’t mean you become a servant to others’ whims. In fact, once you have faith, the need to fawn over others disappears because your human ego begins to diminish. In its place, your true, divine personality emerges—the part of you given by the Father, which has no need to seek self-benefit at the cost of others. This divine self doesn’t boast or seek attention, nor does it shy away from stepping forward when the opportunity to serve arises.
Faith grows stronger through prayer and live conversation with the Father. As you experience the genuine desire to serve others and engage in sincere communion with the Father, you will experience the birth of the spirit. Even while still in your physical body, your negative traits will start to transform, replaced by the love of the Father, which you will feel constantly. Through this love, your human ego fades, replaced by the divine self, which sees everyone as brothers and sisters.
Once you are born of the spirit, your relationships will be grounded in the Father’s love, and they will continue to improve as you give more love without calculation. You will desire to embrace and love everyone you meet, not just those in distant lands, but even in your own city. Fear will no longer control you. You won’t fear being hurt or betrayed because the divine self no longer sees itself as the most important thing. The focus shifts to the whole, to others.
Though only a few of you have experienced the birth of the spirit, those who have must sometimes hold back their open expressions of love due to the hostility or misunderstanding of others. Just as the Father limits the flow of His love according to your ability to receive it, so do His children who are born of the spirit temper their actions to avoid overwhelming you. Yet they continue to radiate love inwardly, even when you do not perceive it.
These teachings are meant to increase the number of those born of the spirit, to help you understand that we are all brothers and sisters, regardless of where we live, our religion, or race. The Father is one for all. When you embrace this truth, when you have faith, you will be born of the spirit, and the world will transform into a garden of the Father, where we serve and nurture one another.
When the human ego is replaced by the divine, life becomes a service to the whole rather than to oneself. Communion with the Father and with me is available to each of you. It only takes a sincere desire to turn inward, calm your restless mind, and speak to the Father or to me. You may not know how to establish this relationship, but rest assured, your sincere desire to do so will be heard.
Many of you spend all your energy on improving your material well-being but neglect your spiritual welfare. It is painful for both the Father and me to see you struggle so hard for material gain while doing nothing for the spiritual foundation of your life.
True life is rooted in spirit. All creation, even the material universes, is a dwelling place for spirits. The relationships and service between spirits and souls are what give life to the entire creation. If you focus your efforts on spiritual growth, on building relationships of love in all aspects of life—politics, education, family, and personal endeavors—then the material aspects of life will naturally improve as well.
I urge you to stop neglecting the spiritual side of life and start actively seeking communion with the Father. Your personal spiritual efforts will have a profound impact, not just on your own life but on the entire system of creation. The Father’s love is the foundation of everything, and by aligning yourself with that love, you contribute to the well-being of all.
