Jesus: I Speak to You Again

Chapter 48

The Cause of Distorting My Teachings

My teachings have been distorted because, instead of fostering a living relationship with the Father, people have replaced it with dead rituals and dogmas. These rituals attempt to substitute that living connection, but nothing can replace a genuine relationship with the Father because He is unchanging, unlike humans who are always changing. This living bond with the Father can only be discovered by finding Him within oneself. Until a person discovers this relationship through the Father’s presence within, they have no real defense against the appeal of rituals and dogmas. As a result, they either follow these empty practices or, worse, turn away from God entirely, denying His existence. This, too, is a choice made of their own free will.

Your world today has changed greatly since the time I walked among you in human form. Many people now do not even believe that I existed. This disbelief is largely a result of the distortions of my teachings, misunderstandings passed down by my beloved disciples, the apostles whom I chose. They failed to fully comprehend my teachings, and for this misunderstanding, humanity has paid a high price—a price that will continue to rise for future generations as these distortions continue to bear fruit.

It is to restore the truth that I am now sharing my teachings through my present apostle, my disciple, who is walking my path and leading others along it. I trust him, and it is the Father’s will, as well as mine, that he receives these corrected teachings and shares them with you all, so that you can apply them in your own lives. This is the only true path to experience me as I truly am—alive, resurrected from material death.

If my apostles of long ago had adhered more closely to my teachings, you would not now face the conflict between Islam and Christianity, nor the tension between these religions and Judaism. You would all share the same Universal Father, uniting you as one family, just as I taught. But today, even those who follow the religion that bears my name cannot agree on how to worship me. Rituals and dogmas have divided Christianity into smaller segments, separating you from one another and fracturing the loving family I intended. This division stems from outward practices and the false belief that my death on the cross was a sacrifice to redeem your sins—a belief implanted generation after generation, disturbing the peace and minds of many. But this idea is simply not true.

No one can redeem another person’s sins. Sins are not redeemed through sacrifice. This old belief, rooted in Jewish tradition since the time of Moses, spread the idea that sacrifices were necessary to please God and atone for sins. Before Moses, the Jews practiced even more barbaric forms of sacrifice, offering what was most precious to them—their firstborn sons. Moses put an end to this cruel practice, replacing human sacrifice with animal sacrifice. Yet, even then, the clergy quickly found ways to profit from it, establishing a system where the size of the animal sacrificed corresponded to the size of the sin. Later, they introduced the idea of monetary ransom, where people could give money instead of animals to atone for their sins.

This is a false path that leads away from God. It is no different from restraining your bodily needs and presenting it as a sacrifice to God in the hope of gaining His mercy and forgiveness. Whether through fasting, vows, or promises to be good if cured from illness or delivered from difficulty, all of these are attempts to bribe God, much like the sacrifices of the past.

If you truly understood the loving and merciful nature of the Father, you would know that He does not need these empty rituals or sacrifices. The Father is so loving and so merciful that He forgives your sins even without you asking for forgiveness. However, you will not feel this forgiveness in your soul until you open yourself to Him with complete sincerity. Only then will you experience true relief, without any need for sacrifice—simply by being honest with God.

This is the only “sacrifice” that satisfies the Father: your sincere openness to Him. Yet, there is an even greater gift you can offer Him—your sincere love for Him, for me, and for your brothers and sisters. You cannot give the Father anything more valuable than your love, because He is the Source of all abundance. What could you possibly offer to the One who has everything? He even has each of you within Himself, having given you His own fragment, the Thought Adjuster, to dwell within you and guide you away from sin.

Thus, the greatest gift you can give to the Father is the one most essential for your own well-being: discovering His spirit within yourself and feeling His love for both the Father and all your brothers and sisters. No material gifts or acts of self-denial are needed.

There is one more important reason why I did not come to redeem your sins. As I have said, what the Father truly desires is your love, and love is the only thing that can deliver you from sin. Let me also make this clear: no one can redeem the sins of others, and that includes me. No matter how much I suffered on the cross, I could not redeem even the smallest of your sins. Why? Because the Father is merciful and loving, and He does not require suffering or sacrifice from you in exchange for forgiveness. He does not need to be “satisfied” by your suffering in order to say, “Enough, I forgive you.”
