Jesus: I Speak to You Again

Chapter 137

Patience

Your understanding of reality is still in its early stages, and for that reason, you should rejoice that the Father Himself is your Guide and Teacher through His spirit within you—what we call the Thought Adjuster. This unseen Mystery Monitor adjusts your thoughts, aligning them with the Father’s love. Gradually, the Father’s presence helps you attain ever brighter and purer levels of thought, far beyond what you can now imagine. It is through this process that you evolve spiritually, in a way that can only be felt through a growing relationship with Him.

So, do not be quick to dismiss the experiences or insights of others just because they might seem strange or incomprehensible to you. Those who share these teachings with you are receiving them from their own Thought Adjusters. Be patient with your judgments and conclusions, for society as a whole will become more spiritual over time. Eventually, everyone will communicate with the Father directly, and this will no longer be surprising.

The desire to experience everything quickly and intensely comes from the lower, animalistic part of your nature. Spiritual growth, by contrast, is slow and deliberate. It cannot be rushed, just as a battery charges more fully when it is charged slowly. Like a battery, your spiritual self expands over time, increasing your capacity to absorb and express spiritual energy. The key is to allow this process to unfold without impatience.

When you make hasty conclusions or rush through life, you limit your spiritual capacity. But if you allow yourself to be guided by the Father’s spirit within, your insights will grow deeper and more accurate, even though they will never be final. Your conclusions will become increasingly aligned with the Father’s will, bringing you closer to Him.

Patience is one of the most vital qualities of character. Rushing through tasks or seeking quick results often leads to failure and disappointment, as you focus on the outcome rather than the process. True patience involves paying attention to every aspect of an activity, understanding it fully, and performing it with care and love. When you rush, you miss the opportunity to experience the true meaning of the work, and the result is often flawed.

Patience goes hand in hand with diligence. Those who are diligent in their work are naturally patient because they take the time to perform each task well. They are not preoccupied with the final result but instead focus on doing the job to the best of their ability.

Patience is also a powerful tool in moments of waiting or uncertainty. Whether you are waiting for a bus or navigating a difficult situation, a patient person remains calm and finds meaning in the moment. They might reflect on their surroundings, engage in prayer, or find comfort in their communion with the Father.

Impatience, on the other hand, brings restlessness and suffering. It clouds your judgment and leads to mistakes, which in turn create more problems. This chain reaction of hasty decisions can eventually result in deeper suffering, illness, and even premature death. In extreme cases, impatience can cause a person to turn against the Father, rejecting His guidance and love.

Patience protects you from these negative outcomes. It helps you navigate life’s challenges with a clear mind and a steady heart, allowing you to avoid unnecessary suffering and error. A patient person develops a strong character, one that shines like a gem, and that strength helps them strive for greater resemblance to the Father.

Can you imagine what would happen if the Father were not patient with you? Seeing your reluctance to act, your mistakes, and your selfishness, the Father could easily lose hope. But because He is the Source of Perfection, He understands that you are just beginning your journey toward perfection. He is patient with you because He knows that you will eventually reach Him on Paradise. And so, He allows you to grow, develop, and learn patience yourself.

You must be patient with your brethren, just as the Father is patient with you. Even when others irritate or frustrate you, you must remain calm and compassionate. Patience will help you build a character that is resilient and aligned with the divine path. It will also protect you from making rash decisions that could harm yourself and others.

Patience is not just about waiting—it is about engaging with the present moment fully, trusting in the process, and knowing that the Father’s plan is unfolding in its perfect time. As you cultivate patience, you will find that life becomes less about running a race against time and more about experiencing the joy of growth and discovery.

On your long journey to Paradise, patience will be your greatest companion. It will temper and strengthen you, allowing you to experience the deep joy of communion with the Father. Through patience, you will grow closer to Him and gain a deeper understanding of your divine purpose. And in this way, you will find that patience is not a burden, but a blessing—an essential part of your spiritual development.
