Jesus: I Speak to You Again
Chapter 123
Discover Meaning and Purpose in Every Moment
Each day and each moment carry their own unique value and meaning, but that meaning is determined by your soul. If you are not living with an open soul, you are not truly living those moments. A day or moment that is not devoted to meaningful, self-discovery is wasted. You can spend your time on meaningless activities, but instead of rising as a personality, you will degrade. No one—neither the angels, nor I, nor the Father—will reproach you for this. However, we are all here to teach you how to live meaningfully, to help you understand the significance of life. Too often, you do not even consider the meaningfulness of your existence. I have explained the difference between quantity and quality in life. I urge you to shift from a life focused on quantity—seeking things for yourself and your family—to a life of quality, where you live for the whole of creation. This is the only life that is truly meaningful.
But meaningfulness also has another dimension. You must learn to find meaning in every action, especially those that lead to the discovery of your true self. You must see the significance in everything around you—in a sunrise and a sunset, in rain and snowstorms, in the falling of leaves and the blossoming of flowers, in both love and anger, joy and sorrow, good and evil. Only when you recognize the meaning in your environment will you begin to deepen your character.
When you start to see meaning in actions that oppose the Father’s will, you come to understand that such opposition is a manifestation of immaturity. This understanding helps you appreciate the role of free will. Free will allows people to choose paths that lead away from the Father, and these choices reflect different levels of spiritual development. Even when you witness actions that go against the Father’s will, thank the Father for giving you the experience to test your own free will—whether you will continue to walk in the light of His love or be influenced by the world around you.
I teach you to find meaning in all things, even in the negative or harmful actions of others. This does not mean you should support or imitate these actions. Instead, understanding the meaning behind these actions allows you to see how far you have come in your own growth. You can compare your reactions to such events in the past with how you respond now. As you grow spiritually, you will notice the clarity of your inner self and how it no longer supports evil, but loves even those who commit wrongdoings.
Love is not a mere statement of affection—it is a living vibration of the Father’s love within you. As you open yourself to this love, you begin to feel it for an ever-wider circle of people, including those who do not yet follow the Father’s will. True spiritual growth means radiating the Father’s love equally to both the good and the bad, just as the sun shines on everyone, and rain falls on all. Your love must grow to the point where it encompasses even those who have wronged you, just as a parent loves their child unconditionally.
These teachings are designed to help you assess and deepen your understanding of your true self. As you grow, you will come to see that even evil plays a role in your spiritual development by giving you the opportunity to overcome it with the Father’s love. Over time, the benchmarks of evil will fade into the past, and the vistas of goodness will become ever more clear.
You must find meaning in everything, even in the smallest creatures and the most mundane events. Everything has its place in the Father’s plan, and what may seem cruel or unjust today may, in the future, be understood as part of a greater harmony. Your perspective is limited by time and the narrow scope of your current understanding. But as your vision expands, you will see meaning in everything, even in destruction and suffering.
Take, for example, a child who burns his finger on a match. The pain of the burn is meaningful because it teaches the child to heed the warnings of his parents not to play with fire. In the same way, the suffering caused by humanity’s selfish actions—such as environmental destruction, violence, and war—will eventually teach you the consequences of turning away from the Father.
Even now, as you face the consequences of your actions, many of you do not listen to the warnings of those who try to guide you. You continue to play with fire, ignoring the long-term consequences. But just as a child eventually learns from a burn, humanity will also learn from its mistakes—though not without pain.
I spoke two thousand years ago about the destruction of Jerusalem, and it came to pass. Today, I speak of the potential destruction of your civilization, which is the result of your collective choices and actions. Yet, even in this destruction, there is meaning. It will serve as a powerful lesson for future generations, showing them the consequences of living selfishly and turning away from the Father. Those who survive will recognize the value of living in accordance with the Father’s will and help guide humanity toward a brighter future.
In the end, everything—even your failures—can lead to growth and understanding, for there is meaning in all things. And through your failures, others may find the strength and wisdom to choose a better path, one that leads to the Father.
