Jesus: I Speak to You Again
Chapter 99
A Spiritual View on the Environment and the Destruction of the Negative Emotions
By taking a spiritual rather than material look upon all of creation, you will soon begin to feel a real and constant connection to the vibrations of love—the Father’s love. As you experience this connection at every moment, you will no longer want to harm your brothers and sisters in spirit, not physically and not even in your thoughts. You will find yourself breathing this love, and it will change you deeply, making your breathing more rhythmic, deeper, and healthier. You’ll realize that your former way of living has lost its appeal and allure. Even though you may still be surrounded by the same colleagues and loved ones, your perspective on them will have profoundly shifted.
Unexpectedly, you’ll find that the traits that once irritated you in your friends, family, or colleagues no longer bother you as they once did. Over time, you’ll notice that these traits don’t irritate you at all anymore. This newfound patience will be evident to those around you. At first, they may be irritated by your calm demeanor—not because you are calm, but because they cannot maintain the same inner peace. They will be disturbed by the peace you radiate, a peace that doesn’t match their inner turmoil. They’ll start to sense something different about you, which may make them uneasy. They won’t understand how you remain calm while they grow frustrated, and they might even accuse you of being insincere or putting on an act.
They won’t be able to grasp that your peace is genuine, flowing from the Father through an ever-deepening relationship with Him. What has become a natural state for you, without needing conscious effort, will appear to them as the result of immense self-control and forced composure. They might insist that venting one’s negative emotions is necessary for good health and to prevent those emotions from building up and causing harm. They may cite things they’ve read or heard from psychologists or experts who claim that releasing anger is a normal, healthy reaction, much like a safety valve.
Your attempts to explain that true peace doesn’t come from venting emotions but from melting them away in the Father’s love may not make sense to many of them. It may seem impossible to them that deeply rooted negative emotions could disappear without deliberate effort to eliminate them. This goes against all the teachings they’ve heard from psychology and psychiatry, which say that managing emotions requires effort and the release of pent-up feelings.
However, it is possible to dissolve negative emotions in the Father’s love. This happens when you start a sincere relationship with the Father, allowing His love to fill every part of your being, bringing peace and joy to your soul. With this inner relationship, you won’t have to struggle to suppress negative emotions; they simply fade away. When and how this happens is beyond precise explanation, but those who experience it know that their negative feelings vanish, leaving only a deep and lasting sense of peace.
This might seem unbelievable because of the sheer volume of information out there that emphasizes the importance of managing one’s emotions. These teachings often suggest that pent-up emotions, if not released, can lead to severe health issues like depression or a weakened immune system. But the advice from your so-called authorities often focuses on outwardly releasing emotions, not on turning inward to the Father for true healing.
You must understand that the animal self cannot defeat what is also of the animal nature. Only what is higher than the animal self can conquer it. This higher self is the divine aspect of your personality, bestowed upon you by the Father. It’s this divine nature that guides you on a journey toward the Father’s love. True transformation happens when you turn to this Source, allowing His love to replace negative emotions with love, truth, kindness, and a spirit of service. This transformation comes as you become more like the Father, who dwells within you.
If you want to eliminate the negative traits of your lower, animal self, don’t waste energy fighting them. Instead, turn to the Father’s presence within you, allowing His living love to flow into you like a pure, refreshing stream. This is the true way to overcome the negative qualities that drain your strength and make life difficult.
Your health—physical, mental, and spiritual—depends more on this relationship with the Father than on any advice or information from outside sources. While you may have access to vast amounts of information, it doesn’t mean that information is correct. True understanding comes from higher spiritual sources, and when you misinterpret or alter this guidance, the results can lead you astray. Seek the Father within, and let His love be your guide.
