Jesus: I Speak to You Again
Chapter 14
Death Must Not Be Feared
Whatever happens in life—whether pleasant or unpleasant—do not try to shield your child from it, thinking you are protecting them from unnecessary suffering or pain. It is essential to explain life to them in a way they can understand, allowing them to live and experience it at their own level. It is the role of the parents to expand that understanding. A child raised with love and sincerity will naturally begin to ask questions, and sooner or later, they will confront the issue that even parents often struggle to answer: Why did grandmother or grandfather die? What can parents say when they themselves do not know why death happens? Why do people die? In an attempt to protect their children from pain, parents may avoid the subject entirely, believing that avoiding the topic is a way of shielding their beloved little ones.
This is one of the greatest mistakes made by materially developed humanity. No one can escape the experience of physical death. Therefore, it is crucial to understand its meaning and purpose. I came to this beautiful world of yours two thousand years ago to bring enlightenment and comfort, not to redeem people’s sins or to frighten them with the image of my own death. When I was tortured by my beloved creatures—my brothers and sisters—it was not to instill fear, but to bring light. I came to reveal the Source and Center of All Light, whom you call God, and whom the Jews of my time called Yahweh, the God of Israel, the Father of Israel. My mission was to help people understand that this very God, Yahweh, was the loving Father of each person—a non-punishing Father, a Father who has no place of torment for souls. Death was not the terrifying end that people feared but rather the beginning of a true eternity.
However, I had to adapt my message to the beliefs of the time. The Jewish fathers and mothers loved their children deeply, perhaps more than anywhere else in the world, and they cherished family life. But even they feared death, and tears would fall when it visited their families. I wanted to offer them a greater light, to show them the way to deeper understanding. But the rituals of that time had such a strong hold over their subconscious minds that my light frightened them. They obeyed the dead rituals of the rabbis and Pharisees, rather than embracing the liberating message of the Fatherhood of God and the brotherhood of man that I brought.
Even today, in the twenty-first century, this darkness—constrained by rituals and the slavish service to them—prevents many modern families from experiencing the freeing impact of my gospel. Without this liberating power of the message I brought, even the most loving parents cannot raise their children as free and loving beings who will in turn raise their own children in love and mercy—as children of one Father and as siblings among themselves. Without this kind of upbringing, peace and comfort will never reign in your world, and people will never free themselves from the fear of death.
To experience spiritual freedom, you must live life fully and truly, not in a state of illusion or pretense. That is why I offer you this deeper and more expanded concept of reality. Many of you are ready for this understanding but do not know where to find it. This book, these teachings, will be the step that leads you to this magnificent experience, where you will begin to live and feel the reality of my words. Once you do, you will see that the dogmas and rituals that have imprisoned your souls will vanish like a fog, lifting and revealing the truth that surrounds you.
When your spiritual eyes open, you will feel the impact of freedom and vastness on your soul. This newfound understanding will show you that there is no death. There is no need to shield your children from it. Instead, you can explain to them with love and sincerity the passing of a grandparent or any loved one.
But first, you must learn this truth for yourselves—that there is no death. The real obstacle is not death itself but people’s ignorance and their unwillingness to understand what reality truly is. To help you discover this reality, I invite you to journey with me, just as my father once took me on outings around Nazareth, showing me what lay beyond the hills. Let us climb together, and I will explain to you what lies beyond the horizon of your understanding.
